1905 Renault W/special coachwork by Mulbacher of Paris Open Front Panel Brougham
This car was bought new in Paris by the Cooper Hewitt family of New york. The Cooper Hewitts were as big a part of the American aristocracy as the Vanderbilts and Morgans . The car was bought by Joeseph Murchio in 1937 and was sold by his estate in 1979 to the family we aquired it from. The original upholstery is still perfect as well as all the finest of French lamps and appointments.
The car has had one repaint and engine rebuild after Murchio bought it but other than that still requires nothing but to be left as it is. It is the large 124 inch wheelbase model with awesome curved sweeping panel coachwork. The interior is black leather with mahagany wood. The car with roof luggage rack stands over 8 feet high and is absolutely magnificent. This is one of the finest early French cars we have ever had the pleasure to own.
